This looks like it could rewrite a few PC gaming rules I can't wait.

I can see the appeal there for a lot of people but it holds no interest for me whatsoever, creating a race of beings from micro-organisms and turning them into space-faring beings is really the ultimate god-game but it just doesn't pique my interest in any way, shape or form.

Isn't this the latest Peter Molyneux effort?

A couple of his previous games were supposedly going to completely revolutionise gaming, but never delivered on the promise for me - notably Black and White.

I've got Black & White (somewhere) installed it, played it once, uninstalled it. Put disc back into it's case, put case into cupboard, moved on.

No not had the pleasure of GTL more of a Counter Strike Source chap, Should I part with my cash for it?

Yeah. We're not serious loike (even though some of us are pretty quick), but at least you don't need to practice for 3 hours a day to get to a competitive standard like css. Even though, that's probably for only top level css...
