Hi All
One of my cooling fans has packed up. I've checked the fuses and it seems to be that both fans run from one fuse, and that's fine. Checked the connections just under the fan and that seems fine too. I can only assume the fan itself has broken.
Can anyone advise where the fans are from, and whether this is a job that can be carried out by a non-specialist, or even a novice? - Is it simply a case of unscrewing the old one and fitting a new one??
Many thanks

Have you made sure that the supply is there and replaced the fan with a bulb to check that power is at the fan?

Hmm, no, haven't tried that. Sorry for ignorance but how do you replace a fan with a bulb - presume you need to change the connections?

Have you tried swapping the connections over to confirm that it definitely is that fan which is faulty?

Hmm, no haven't tried that either!!! God I'm such a muppet when it comes to this sort of thing! I'll tonight.
Thanks guys. I guess I'm hoping it actually is faulty otherwise it will be something more complex?

Gavstar, go back and re-check those connectors (the two plastic 'breaks' that allow the disconnection of power when working on the radiator or fans). Get to the copper tri-pins, abrade them lightly with a file then spray with WD40.
I'll bet that solves your problem
