Looks kind of intresting.. and me loving plugins :-) just wondered if anyone uses it? From the demo picture it looks to work better on landscape images/colours..

Also Is there anything available for CS2 that can reduce colour noise on a jpg/tiff? i know I can do it on a RAW file.. but I don't really want to shoot raw.

Cheers

seems to make tonnes of layers up with preview on in CS2 and my final choice is the same as orig with aweful looking over saturated ones below :-(

Mmmmmm, don't overdo it. Just like with anything else, try to be subtle, then you'll see a pleasing effect.

thats just it.. I'm not..:-/ it seems to make lots of layers up.. but sometimes it deletes them and leaves one.. the result.. but then I tweak again and it leaves lots of layers ontop. Surely it should just save a second layer thats a the result with an orig below?

The expand dynamic range seems to be the same as a second layer with a highlight/shadow boost then blured and set ontop of the orig. Tiz handy though..

I thought it just created another layer with Velvia-like effects, then you are supposed to adjust the opacity to create the desired effect (not via layer palette but within Velvia Vision), then when you click 'apply (or whatever the button is called)' it just merges the 2 layers.

this is what I use. if it is too much I reduce opacity in the layer.

I mainly use it to enhance the already colourful images in order to give a bit more 'punch' as Velvia did (does), not to improve dull images. My setting is usually about 20% Intensity; Contrast 1; I don't touch the Warm Colours as I prefer a different method; I hardly ever touch the dynamic range either. Then preview the image and adjust the Global Intensity Tweak, often down to around 50%. This will give a subtle pleasing effect wihtout going over the top.
