Fuel?

Can Anyone tell me the fuel consumption of the 4.2 and 4.5 Cerbera looked every where and cant find the info.

Depends more on how you drive and whether in town or motorway to be honest.

Mine is pretty damn awful at the moment with just over 200miles from £55 .

Thats not awful!!

I generally get the same on a run, maybe 220 miles to a tank (4.5 cerby). It only goes one way when you have a little fun...

Never been down at 6 mpg though?! Thats trying very hard...

Worst I ever had was 140 miles to a tank, that's about 11 mpg (4.5) but this was achieved over numerous shortish journeys in traffic over the space of 3wks

Had to fill mine up in deepest darkest West Wales at the weekend - cost me £63 quid!!

Took a tank to get there from 'Nam

In a nut shell, if the fuel costs are a big concern then the Cerb probably isn't for you

Throughout the Le Mans weekend I travelled 510 miles and used approx 1.5 tanks.

Couldn't tell you exactly as I could only get 1/2 a tank max due to clearance troubles....

All I know is when i press the loud pedal the fuel gauge goes down rather quickly, worth every drop though!!

mine, 13 to 20 mpg

I reckon it might do 27 mpg at best (4000 revs in fifth 108 mph)

If you cant afford buying petrol for it....dont buy one.

Best Ive had is on a trip from mine to Joos at TCS...235 miles,in dead on 3 hours and returned 26 to the gallon...and if anyone thinks I was 'doddling'...work out average speed for yourself!

But as said before....anyone who looks at mpg before buying a Cerb should look at something else!

i did from calais to le mans on one tank of 98this year. i was not hanging about, but it was chucking it down with rain.

three full tanks in 3 days.... sod the fuel, just drive and enjoy it.

my trip back from newcastle was good i filled up at stanstead m11jct 280 mile on about 3/4 of a tank i thought that was just a timer not a fuel gauge lol

I can get up to yorkshire from Milton Keynes on just over half a tank - thats 140 miles cruising mainly in 5th. On some local, more 'vigorous' runs, i probably get through half a tank doing 70m miles. It all depends how you drive it. I am led to believ that cruising steady in 5th you can get around 22mpg

I drive all roads, short and long journeys, sometimes mega-thrashing, most times normalish rev usage (well not comapred to driving a normal car!), and get about 14MPG in my 4.5 Lightweight. Stopped putting in £1.12 p/ltr Optimax (from one Shell garage where I live) and now putting in £0.95 p/ltr Tesco 99 RON and I think she goes better for it.
However if you own a Cerb, or want to own one, then you shouldn't be bothered about MPGs!

Just on that.... can anyone tell the difference between using normal unleaded and optimax?? The sticker next to the fuel inlet says to only use optimax/super unleaded but is this really necessary??
