Fans won't switch off !

After getting all the way to Le Mans and back with no problems, I cleaned the car yesterday and went out for a drive as you do. When I stopped and switched the engine off the fans carried on running, removing the 40 amp fused has now stopped them running, so will the problem be the otter switch or could it be a relay ?

Sounds more like a relay but if you pull a wire off the otter and the fans still run it probably is a relay, good luck, John.

Went out to try your suggestion, put the 40 amp fuse back in - and the fans didn't start, it seems to have fixed itself. I tried the overide switch and the fans came on and off as you would expect and I was able to identify the relay doing by this for future reference.

Went for a drive and the fans seem to be behaving, I think as you suggested it was the relay - i reckon it just got too hot over the weekend and seized open.
