Orange broadband

I am going to take out a new contract probably for 18months (detest it being so long) with Orange as I will get free broadband. However in order to get the broadband, I need (or so I am told) a land line.

Is this true? If so that means I have to folk out another whatever its costs for a fixed line phone line!

Broadband (adsl, not cable) needs a landline, which will cost at least £11/month..

I guess that is the cheapest line rental going – everyone is in it for the money!
