Mine return, but not quite to the bottom, so they are about three inches higher (8cm in Euro) at the tips, and are just high enough to annoy!

Can't help with the relays I'm afraid though, haven't got the bible to hand.

Basically I don't think there is an extra relay, just a cam on the motor, make sure you have switched live and live to the motor.

At one time the wipers on my S1 wouldn't park, at all!
Found there is a cam attached to the wiper motor which I needed to re assemble. The wiper motor is above the passenger's knees, so head in foot well, sit on seat, feet in air time again! I seam to remember that this also sets the park height - {pull the cable?} - but it was sometime ago.

The wipers on my griff aren't self parking at the moment, but just stop. I guess there is a live to keep the motor running which needs sorting, however on the griff the motor is in the bonnet where the rain gets in!

Sounds like the park switch is knackered, this is the small rectangular block which the wires go into on the actual wiper motor itself, cost about £10 from a Lucas dealer
