Need help identifying a source for the switch that controls which side mirror the electric joystick thing controls. It's a 3-way switch - left, off, right.

Anyone know which car this is off, or somewhere that sells them?

Or know of an alternative switch that would fit?

Cheers,

Graham

Got a feeling that this switch and the joystick/toggle to control the mirrors are Dutch/German.
Will the switch not respond to a heavy dosing with an electrical cleaner (Servisol or Fospro)?
If you want new, I would suggest David Gerald or TVR carparts.com.

It was Richard Smith at Dulford who worked out it was the switch and not the joystick that is up the duff during my car's recent sabbatical in his care. He told me that he doesn't think the switches have been made for about 2 years.

I'm just wondering if anyone has happened to have had the same prob and found a supply or an alternative part.

i have switches but they're a bigger unit so wuold need the facia modding, with a wood veneer you'd have to be very careful .. i use them in another application but the switch has the same function .. you could always leave the original switch in place and find another spot say on the dash underside to mount the bigger version and extend the wires?

I'd prefer to keep things original if I can, but it's a good idea if I can't.

Maplin sell a double pole, double throw, centre off rocker switch, part ML78K, which will do the job. I used one recently to replace the switch on my S3.

I had to trim off the mounting tabs to get it to fit the switch panel but since it is clamped in position by the trim panel you don't really need them.
