Yes pretty good. Rather steep ramp to go up the top deck though, I thought I was going to leave the exhaust the way it grounded... I managed to stay on the bottom on the way back...

Used them for the first time for this trip. Brilliant.....new ships, right on time and a good breakfast. Going to Dunkerque wasn't the faff I feared either. I think Norfolkline are the only passenger ferry who use the port, because it was so empty driving out...straight onto the autoroute.

On the way out we headed straight across at the autoroute junction and headed cross country to just north of Rouen. Fantastic roads and no Gendarme in sight. On the way back we autorouted it all the way...the port is on the Calais side of Dunkerque 15 mins max extra on your journey.

i used norfolk line and havent got any problems other than steep ramp getting to top deck. was put on bottom with lorrys after the women letting people on winced at me as my front bumper nearly got caught on the floor.

the interior of the ship was immaculate aswell with loads of space well furnished and even a cinema and room full of playstations to keep you busy.

may not beable to use them again next year though as with what i have planned for the car i doubt i will even make it onto the lower deck.

Agree with all the above, we used them for the first time this year - will be using again next year.

The only problem we had was with our car alarms, something within the ship interferred with them and we had trouble swithing them on and off. We saw someone else having the same problem.

But other than that very good.

Where was that room with playstations? I knew about the cinema (that's something I won't do again, cinema on a boat...) but I never knew about the other one...

I agree with post re Dunkirk being no hassle at all the port is empty only they use it so its so relaxing and hassle free and only 20km more than dover 10-15 mins max on the journey.

Also travelled Norfolk Line after P&O's price increased dramatically on the day i actually tried to book. Echoing what others have said - ship was modern and well equipped. My car is pretty useable but even i struck my exhaust on the ramp to the upper deck on the way up (not on the way down though) and also thought i was going to do some damage. Think i'd def use them again next year as there really was little to no traffic upon leaving the Ferry and the price was great.

Another vote for Norfolk Line here. I was amazed at how clean and modern the ship was - I was expecting a real budget experience but I'm definitely going to use them again in the future!

Used NL for the first time as well. The only critism would be that they don't have enough staff working the car deck, so on the journey out I was at the front of the queue on one side of the boat and got waved to go, and managed to (accidentally) jump the queue of cars on the other side, but at least I got off the boat first

NL ... fantastic too. managed to beat SpeedFerry's by £20 for the same time slot.
Boats were immaculqate .. except the toilet doors didnt have any locks on them.
Going out, we were one of 6 cars on the car desk !!... Yes, only 6 !

We loved the fact that in the front of the boat, you can sit and eat your meal looing out though the huge glass windows.

Playstations were cool, and so were the comfortable seats for catching well needed sleeptime.
Definatly have my buisness in future.
Incidently, for fuel when leaving, if you get onto the Motorway, and head towards Dunkirk town, there is a commercial centre about 2 junctions up. they have a big hypermarket there with competative fuel prices.

playstation room was in the corner aft of the ship before you go out to have a look outside. was a good 15 consoles with games. i had a blast on fifa street on the way there and some gun games on the way back. past the time away nicely.

agree with toilets not having locks on doors and fact that there were no hand dryers that i could see.

Great stuff, couldn't fault them especialy when they had me put my badly smoking 944 turbo in the "low ground clearance sports car" queue on the way back

With any luck they won't read this and put the price up next year!

I think they make loads of money on the lorries crossing and on the accomodation on board (overpriced coffee, etc), so they don't need a massive mark up on the cars as it's only a few extra tons to carry...
Well that's how I see it at least.
