Windscreen for my 350i fhc

Hi, Just had my windscreen smashed my a nice big stone. Was wondering if anyone had a idea on price to get it replaced? and where to get one from? just hoping the screen in my fhc is the same as a soft top 350i..............:-(

Yes, the screens are the same.

Mine has a large chip in it with a few cracks , so probably need one as well. I'd like to take it out for the respray and then have one put in after paint job.
Getting it out is no problem as we have one of those electric slicers to cut through the sealant. But would a glass company be willing just to fit and would the insurance still pay up ?

You are insured for glass replacement. Assuming you are Fully Comp., most insurers will pay for repairing the stonechip. For replacements, this can be liased with your installer, or the guys that your insurer recommends or 'approves'.

If you're taking the screen out, Mr Installer would love to come and slap a new one in without the task of removing the old screen.
