If the terrorists are frisky,
Pakistan is looking shifty,
North Korea is too risky,
Bomb Iraq.
If we have no allies with us, bomb Iraq.
If we think someone has dissed us, bomb Iraq.
So to hell with the inspections,
Let's look tough for the elections,
Close your mind and take directions,
Bomb Iraq.
It's "pre-emptive non-aggression", bomb Iraq.
Let's prevent this mass destruction, bomb Iraq.
They've got weapons we can't see,
And that's good enough for me

I'm sorry, but I think I've had a sense of humour by pass this morning. I know it's in jest, and maybe I should shut up and get a life, but I genuinely feel offended by this.
I don't think anyone goes to war "cos corporate fraud is growing", or because some one dissed the USA.
I'm growing a little tired of this kind of cheap shot, especially when it's usually delivered by the sort of people who will be the first to howl "why didn't we do something" when Saddam nukes/gasses/microbiologically exterminates their town.
He had thousands of weapons that were in existance at the end of the last Gulf war. No one questions that cos they could be seen then. His own records show he has destroyed a FEW over the years, but there are thousands missing now. Does that mean they don't exist? Or will they only start to exist once SH attains a method of delivery? - In which case it will already be too late.
He had 10 years to hide them in a bloody big country FFS!
This seems more a personal attack on Bush than anything else.
Sometimes, leadership is about hard choices. Dubya might not be a "real sharp kid" but he's no monster either. In fact, Clinton bombed Iraq more during his presidency than Dubya has! Didn't hear the bleading hearts and their snide comments then did we? Or maybe it's OK for a serial philanderer, liar and fraudster to kill Iraquis, cos he's a democrat, but not George, cos (heaven forfend)he is a right winger.

Chill out, Andy - there's a lot of viewpoints on the current situation with Iraq, and yours is a svalid as anyone else's. Sadly, we are not being given the information that most intelligent people would use to formulate an intelligent and thought-through opinion on just what is going on in the minds of Blair and Bush. If we actually knew what the USA and GB are thinking, if the politicians and personalities were actually confident enough to be honest with us, there wouldn't be the kind of ironic and scathing view.It is the uncertainty of the motives, and the secrecy surrounding them, that is so galling. However, it is absolutely correct, in a (supposed) democracy,to question our leaders when they embark on a policy with which we disagree, and one of the most effective ways id through humour, parody, and debate. Relax!!

Just having a serious moment here. It seems to me that the political supremos can't really inform the country of what they know without incidentally telling the potential enemy. The real problem we as citizens have is that through their general behaviour to date, our current leaders have given us NO reason to trust in their judgement, or believe that they are acting in the best interests of the nation(s).
We are all reaping the 'rewards' of the Government's cynical use of spin and manipulation. Cynicism breeds cynicism, and we are pretty much stuffed because no-one is in a position to make and communicate a judgement on behalf of us all that we can believe in.
Right, that's serious done for the day. Back to flippant now.
