Racing for Amateurs. Where to start ? (not me)
Discussion
Not for me. Well, not yet
Took a mate to Croft yesterday. Was his first time on track ever so was in the Novice group.
Anyway, at lunch time, instructors came over to say he was way too quick for the group & needed to be moved. Got taking to them about it being his first time, blah, blah & they said he was easily good enough to go in advanced group & whether he'd ever considered racing.
What would be the next step if he wanted to ?
I assume a race licence is required. How is this gained ?
What series's are around that could be entered (cheapish) ?
What are, financialy, we talking about for a season ?
Cheers for any advice.
