Hi all,
just need a bit of advice on insuring the vette as its due in july(wow that was quick already been 1 year of vette ownership!), i paid a very high premeuim last year but i was told this was down to 2 reasons, the car being a 1996 hence not qualifying for classic insurance adn also my age (25). Well im now 26 and the car is 10 years old but the best MCE has come up with is a 15% discount. Is this reasonable ? Also are there any companys other then MCE out there that could poss give me a good deal,
thanks!

Try Stevenage Insurance services on 01438 313251..dont forget you are entitled to 10% discount if you are a car/vette club member.
I'll 2nd that, Stevenage look to be the best at the mo. Adrian flux used to be good but the last couple of years their quotes have lost touch with reality. Never had a good quote from MC Edwards
Just been through the same loop. Score was Adrian Flux most expensive (and, er, longest wait on the phone too...), MCE middle and Stephenage lowest. Will be going with Stephenage once I get the written quote through too.
As a benefit they also seemed most familiar with the car. MCE asked me if my Corvette was a sedan with 5 doors...
Do consider your annual mileage carefully, I used to insure mine all the time unlimited, but reducing the mileage to 5k takes about 30% of the cost out...

Try Admiral - I used them for one year as they were the cheapest that year when I was 26.
Till i got a bit older then moved to MCE. Also helps if you put a bird on the drivers list (yes you are a more sensible male now), drop the mileage as low as you really think you'll need, garage it at a good post code (if your parents is better try them), and of course the usual NCB.
