Will these fit an 04 plate Monaro? I assume when they talk about series 1 and 2 that there was a change when the 05's came out with the smaller boot? Seems a real bargain at less than £65 a set before carriage.

Yeah, they'll fit no probs. RE series one and two, don't forget the Monaro has been out in Aus a good while longer than here. Correct me if I'm wrong (cos I may be) but the series one had the vt style interior etc but from what I can recall, no major changes to the exterior. The lights will fit though.

hmm in that case then I might just be tempted - they're not exact replicas of the VXR type but I'm sure they'll look better than the red ones on my black car.

Affirmatron, series I had the VT style interior. Back lights should fit.
I think the only difference is the front lights on the later VZ which are a little different in size.
So as an aside, Monaro series I and 11 and III front lights will also fit a VT , have to do some minor electrical work though!

yeah I've seen that style on ebay as well - must admit I wasn't convinced I liked them because of the weird curvy shaped reflectors - kinda Star Trek logos on their side. Havent seen a pic of them on a car though - any chance you could post a photo of them on your car so I can see what they're like installed?

FYR all Monaro's & commodore VT & VX rear lights are interchangeable, ( only Com VY & VZ are different.)
Never knew Monaro Mk1 had VT interior & dash though !!

5 sets of these including carriage are $1365 Australian thats using economy air = £550 approx making each set £110 inc carriage. Not too bad considering Vauxhall want £225 each side for the official VXR versions. Waiting on a few more prices to come through.

Don't Monkfist do a black surround type thing for the CV8 rear cluster.

From what I remember on there web site they have some pictures of what they look like.

I don't think they are badly priced either 245.00 fitted.

the ones on their site at £189 look identical to the ones I'm talking about at £110 but they mention bulbs are included. I'd have thought the bulbs out the standard lights would just transfer so might need to investigate further. Also at half - 1hr labour I suppose thats a fair price. Other sets on their site also seem to match up with some of the ones I've been sourcing - could be they're dealing with the same dealers in Oz I am emailing for info. For the extra money they are charging its probably worth it for the convenience factor just to use them.
