Porsche 944 S2 engine

You may have to wait a while as they are not exactly around every corner. I was looking for one last year for my 3.2 litre Turbo project and it took quite a few months before I got lucky. You'll need to regularly ring round all the breakers, keep an eye out on Ebay and also the Porsche magazines. It may be worth contacting this Dutch breaker as he has huge stocks - www.v-zweeden.com
Finally, keep an eye out for a 2.7 because it uses the same block (so does the 968). I nearly bought a few wrecked 2.7s when I was looking (but kept missing out).

You could try this:-

The car is used for track days and as a result of some problems we found damage in one of the bores.
A Porsche specialist attempted to rebore it and during the process a major crack was found through to the water jacket.
The block is now scrap but all the other components have been refurbished.
Thanks for the 2.7 suggestion and I am already looking for a 968 option.
Colin.
