My Chimaera is really trying my patience!!! I last took it out on Thursday night - no problems. However, I now cant start it and the problem seems to be with the immobiliser. Hopefully someone can help!.....

Mine is an early (1994) Chim with the factory immobiliser - small keyfob thing that you push into the receptacle next to the ignition on the steering cowling. The red light is meant to flash to indicate that the immobiliser is on. When you push the keyfob thing in it beeps several times, the red light stays on, and you can then start the car.

Now nothing happens, car wont turn over - and the red light which should be flashing isnt (and no deactivation beep either).

Battery fine, all ignition lights come on etc, but the immobiliser is obviously playing up. Has anyone had this problem or is there any way to get round it? PM me if it's sensitive info!

Thanks

Stupid question, but do you have a spare little gadget?

Funny enough, I was going to post a similar thread as I have two, but only one works, and was wondering how/where to sort it out !!

Well, managed to sort out the immobiliser - it had a fuse!

I've only got one of the gadget things too. I was planning to get another one from the TVR dealers - the service book has the immobiliser order ref in it I think.
