'Joyriders' Need Targeting say ABD
Courts too soft on thieves who maim and ordinary motorists are being tarred with the same brush...

mate who cares? it's not the law there is a untaxed car sitting over the road from me and a unlicenced driver who lives just round the corner, The Police will notbother if both these individuals cannot afford tax or lessons then they never going to pay a fine are they, in the case of Ian Carr he was to high profile to ignor but even then he's got off lightly

'Cos if I injure somebody or damage their property, through my f**k up, then I want that them to have a means of getting fair restitution. Not just 'cos the law says so, but because I have a consience (not that I am implying you do not).
I think the ABD has got this spot on. But equally I expect nothing will be done as I costs, rather than generating revenue.
Cheers, Phil
I think you'll find that having joyriders bunched up with normal motorists suits the government just fine!
"Look at the evil car dwellers, here, we have these statistics!"
I wonder how many accidents involving stolen cars have 'speed' written in the report as one of the contributory factors?
