I have finally bitten the bullet and spoken to Simon at Leven. What a helpful bloke......
The car is due into Leven early July (they are collecting).....I will get it back around 3-4 days later, hopefully before they shutdown (Servicing) for their summer break. I can then

Anyhow I have asked them to change all the core plugs in one go, I found yet another core plug was very weak. They are going to remove the engine to do the work properly
, (painful on the wallet). Leven will also Service and MOT the little Beastie.
Simon suggested I change the Clutch whilst the engine is out too, I have gone through the records and can see that it has never been done so I believe it worthwhile (less labour charges now). If I cannot save on labour I may be able to save a little on parts, I can get a clutch for half price, is this going to do the job of what Simon will throw in the ole girl?

Any pros/cons to this type of clutch, will it make it any heavier, will I have to get an uprated release arm?
He will replace Engine/Gear mounts as/if necassary and change the Rear tyres (I am supplying 2x 245/45/16 Toyo T1-R).
Whilst looking through the Service History it looks like the car has been standing for long periods of time i.e. the last 3 services read....

It is only on 52,822 now....Could this be any reason for the amount of corrosion? Although I would have thought that the coolant to have been changed.

dean i would put a stock clutch in,if the stock one isnt a problem why change to an unknown quantity.about your core plugs if there rotting outside in (scabby outside)try to find out where car is from most affected cars are from up north,scotland,wales etc.they have more severe weather & there not tight with the road salt fact wich equals corrosion OUCH.this effects all cars not just TVR.this is probably of no use but i hope it helps ya.FAILING THAT IT COULD BE POOR CORE PLUG METAL,OR CRAP ANTIFREEZE.
