Factory Roll hoop fixings.

Does any body know what form the fixing used by the Factory Fit roll hoop is ?

My guess is it is a tapped bush welded into the tubing but as it is located above the triangular corner plate it is difficult to see what is going on. If anyone has an exposed chassis it would be helpful if you could take a look and see what form it takes.

I have a factory fit hoop in my car and want to remove it but the bolts at the side refuse to turn, the ones holding the rear stays are no problem. Have squirted WD40 around but it would be nice to know what I am tackling. It is a 98 car, Thanks.

Usually tacked onto the outside of the tubing.
