Rear shocks!!!
Discussion
Hello all.
Due to one of themleaking, I need to replace the rear shocks on my 4L 1993 Chim with some 2nd hand originals, but I'm not sure if the spec of the shocks has changed over the years or indeed if the different engine sizes have any effect (although I doubt it). Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?
Many thanks
Darren

They're thirteen years old, all four will be knackered even if only one is leaking right now. I suggest you change all four as a set. Mixing new and old dampers is liable to result in some very strange handling. I suggest you replace the springs as a matter of course too, following the recomendations of your damper supplier. Springs are cheap, and you need to ensure that you have the right spec springs to suit your new dampers.
