hi,

are the yellow relays in the fuse box all the same?

my radiator fans have stopped working and i'm trying to test the relays.

i've swapped the relays around to try and get the fans working but no luck (i've shorted the otter switch with a paper clip)

any ideas?

Without looking,i don't know if the relays are different,or if there are any the same-check the id codes on the relay itself. You can also test a relay fairly reliably by putting 12v across the switch terminals and listening for the clicking sound that tells you its operating ok.Another thing to check is that you have 12v at the otter switch terminals when the ignition is on and the relay is in place. If you don't get 12v here, then you might have a poor earth terminal connection(solid black wire)earthed near radiator i think,or you might not have the positive feed from the relay side(black with tracer usually),this might also indicate a faulty relay.
