After finishing the restoration of my cars chassis I treated it to a set of GAZ springs and dampers. I fitted them myself and set it up as best I could. To be honest I was a little disapointed with the result as the car seemed to 'fight' against me on country roads. Anyway, I took the car to the V8 Centre in High Wycombe to have all the alignment done and OH MY GOD...!!!!

The difference is unbelievable. I have a sports car again and the restoration was worth it after all. I can chuck it around country roads and it goes where ever I point it. No tramlining or skipping around over bumps. Still need to fiddle with the damper rates as the rear seems a little soft but overall I am well pleased. Thanks to Derek at Absolutely Shocks and Perry and the lads and The V8 Centre for all your help.

Anyway, the purpose of this topic is to say that whenever the various specialists say you should have your alignment done after fitting new dampers, believe them. You will not be wasting your money.

Track days here I come..........

P.S. Of course now it has started raining...!!
