I am wishing to tart up the roof on my S this winter and have been looking at Renovo Soft Top Reviver & Fabsil Gold. What I''d like to know is do they give good results ? Should I buy Fabsil Gold in an aerosol or brush on ? Will 500Ml of Renovo be enough for a good coating on an S ? The web sites are is at: www.renovointernational.com www.rockrun.com/rr/shop/enter.html Thanks very much for any comments Giles

Giles, I've not used either but there was a recent discussion on this issue which seemed to favour brush on. Look at the "NEW ROOF PLEASE" thread back on the S SERIES forum for the full discussion. I'd be interested to know how you get on as I am thinking of doing mine just to improve the look although it doesn't seem to leak yet - damn, I bet it will now I've said that.

Giles, I have used Renovo Hood Reviver and Fabsil (but not Fabsil Gold) on the roof of my S2. The Hood Reviver turned my faded grey roof back to somewhere near it's original black. It's not perfect, but gives a fairly even coverage. I used the ordinary Fabsil, carefully brushed on. Don't use a spray - you won't get an even coverage and the silicon will mess up your paintwork and windows. When you brush it on you will get some Fabsil on the bodywork, but it will clean off if you use a damp cloth before it dries. I think I used about a quarter of a 2 litre can each time I applied Fabsil. Roy
