I am considering a Tuscan and have read that the Red Rose suspension is way better than standard. If I found a good car without the Red Rose pack how much would the upgrade to Red Rose spec suspension be ?
What exactly are the differences ?

There have also been very good reports of the nitron shocks and different springs.

The Red Rose suspension is only about £150 cheaper than the Nitron kit, & as far as I know it is not adjustable or re-buildable as the Nitrons are.

Nitrons do have a long lead time though best speak to Julian Lane at www.joospeed.net/

yes indeedy
the other ting is that when I was doing the testing on the current tuscan / cerbera kit at Bedford we could hold the Tuscan sliding all day long (and trust me .. we did!!!) and didn't have one spin all day .. the std factory cars were spinning though .. tells me there's still work to be done on the factory set-up IMO.

I can assure you that when I spun that day, it was purely down to a complete failure of driver ability for a moment as I out braked myself into the tight corner at the end of the 130mph straight. Managed to hurl the car round the corner rather than take a visit to the grass, back end came around. No damage done!

When I priced this up on TVR gears site www.tvrgear.com/parts.asp it was a lot more than this are you sure this quote is for both ends .Anyway they are still not adjustable or re-buildable so after two years you would have to replace them again!

Are you sure the shocks are not adjustable, I was told they were but have never bothered looking as I wouldn't know how to adjust them ?

The ride height may be adjustable, but I doubt the damping/rebound is.

Thanks for the info. I assumed there were toe/camber changes as well or other component changes like suspension arms. The Nitron setup sounds the best option I guess.

tvr only change the rear dampers according to TMS website, 165 pounds each
springs are about 45 pounds each
makes 510 pounds I think.
add 4 hours makes 678 pounds (plus vat) and it's only ride height adjustable, not damping. and you don't get to choose your own spring rates according to what driving you do. I'll soon be offering 12 different spring / damper combinations for all budgets and driving styles (nine offered at the moment).
you pays yer money etc.

I am now running Nitron shocks and springs all round as fitted and set up by Peninsula. the improvements to the car have made it a much nicer car to drive every day and improved handling when driving enthusiastically beyond recogntion. May be worth
giving Richard a ring. I know he used to offer a 'money back guarantee' if you were not totally satisfied
