Back and unloaded from the VERY sucessful Nationals - great to meet everyone there. Did you like my speech if you were at the Sat night 'do'

Well - being a complete V8 sound freak - I now need to know where I can buy Spitfire they were GREAT sounds even better than a Corvette with sidepipes
Do you think it will be as economical as a Vette ?? - it would look great with chrome Z06 wheels !!!!!

Cheers to all
Keith

I was at Duxford one year when the engineers were restoring an engine from a Spitfire. They dragged it outside on a frame and started it up... That thing made F1 cars sound quiet!

Don't ask that question - Tristram wondered if one would go into his if the LS1 gets tired...

... I suppose someone should tell him it'll need more than gaffer tape to hold it in though.

I remember many years ago being broken down on the hard shoulder of M1 (on the way to Santa Pod) watching (and listening to) John Dodd's Merlin (or more accurately tank engined)V12 Merlin powered car going past at what must have been well in excess of 100 mph with a gaggle of Yank muscle, Vettes etc all chasing in vain. What a sound.
