I can't find my V5 Registration document, and I am part exchanging this car on saturday at a main dealer.

Is the loss of V5 going to cause any problems in exchanging my vehicle.
I have paperwork sales agreement to PX my car on paper and I just need to make final payment on new car.

Anyone know what I should do please ?

Lack of V5 may well cause an issue with the PX.. However, a trip/phonecall to your local DVLA office should help you out..

We had an issue where we thought we'd lost the V5 when it came to taxing the car, but discovered that the car had never been transfered into our name, hence we'd never had the certificate! DVLA office sorted it without much problem, just a little waiting around!

I have just found my old V5.

Is this good enough ? Or does it have to be a V5C, as I remember I was sent a new one ?

The V5 has the V5/2 and V5/3 sections, so is that good enough to PX my vehicle with ?

You could say the old one is the only V5 you have, I'd be amazed if you were 'found out'. If so, you need to get a V62 from the post office and it'll cost you £19. I'd chance the old one personally.....

Thanks Hollywood. I 'll just say I never received the new style V5C, and play dumb.

{Edit}
Ok guys, I have found my V5C

Did a thorough search of house after I got home this afternoon.

Happy bunny now
