Body-off chassis work...

I removed the manifolds in anticipation of the ACT ones going on. I found the chassis rails are in a dreadful state... Not bad enough to be a problem now, but I can't ignore it or the car won't last much longer...

The plan is to fake up what I can easily see and get at for now with some galvafroid & whatever hammerite I have in the cupboard, then look at a body-off chassis restoration in the autumn/winter.

The question is: How long will it take? (And what jobs are needed?)
Let's assume:
I have caught the problems in time, so no remedial work is required on the chassis.
I have a couple of sturdy helpers and some lifting equipment where required, other than that, there's just me for 8-10 hour days.

Do I have to strip the body completely before lifting? Obviously, the less pieces there are, the better for me - I'm good at losing things. And what do I need to take off the chassis before lifting the body?
