Christ I hate this time of year/weather - Chim hasn't turned a wheel for nearly two weeks and I'm gagging for a blast!!
Unfortunately I'm one of those pussies who doesn't want my baby soaked and/or covered in salt so it stays put while i dream of sunny days ....

Anyone else got this feeling?

You need to take it for a run!! and wash it down when you get back, that's what I do. Have just got back from a week in Nuremburg, and boy did I miss my Chim!!! Glad I didn't drive there though, my god was it cold!! My friend's Audi A6 lookes like it has an entire salt mine attached to the bodywork!!!
You do need to drive it though, even if it's for a little run out, will do the car the power of good, thats the first thing I did when I got back yesterday. I turned the key, and, as usual, started first time, took her out, then gave the Chim a bloody good wash and wax again.

I'd been feeling Tivver withdrawal just the same Helped to alleviate it though by thrashing my old Pug 309 track day special round Elvington last Saturday.
Cant recommend it enough , extreme fun , especially in the snow .

Nope!

Why? I've just nipped out the office for a bit... to take my little S3 for a blast!

Started first time... took the targa panels out... cranked up the heating... put my PH beanie on and went for a blast round the lanes in the crisp winter sun!

FANTASTIC!

Roads were clear... dry... sun was out... car warmed up pretty quickly and I was then able to hear that lovely V6 howl echo through the trees!

Go on... get out there! Little bit of water and salt won't hurt her...! - you'll just have to give her a wash afterwards!

Know the feeling and mine only been in the garage 5 days. Probably accentuated by the fact that the lone car's a volvo estate.

Pick her up this evening , I hope.

Mine has done probably 500 miles since October ... yeah I know, it should be used more, but I've had to take it to my mums which is seven miles away to put it in her garage while bits of our house are renovated.

I have a garage full of computers, tools, garden stuff, wood, kids bikes etc and I mean FULL! And have had no time at weekends etc to sort the garag out as I need it to store wood, bricks etc at the mo.

The Chim had to go somewhere and I wasn't leaving it outside. It does get taken out regularly but not very far. A quick hours blast and it's back inside til the garage is clear.

mind you, I'm on holiday next week, so I'll make a start on the garage

hang on, cricket world cup starts non-stop Sky cricket - superb!! Maybe the garage can wait a month

How do you guys think I feel. Our Cerbera has been living in the garage since JULY !!!!!

Both me & my wife have been unemployed for large chunks of the time, so couldn't afford to get the car serviced, so she got tucked up in the garage. We are now desperately trying to sell our house so we can free up some of the equity in the property & get back on our feet & then the Cerb will be back...

You should try having a Cerb in the garage but not being able to drive it for 6 months !

(anyone want to buy a 5 bed house in Battle ? - sorry Ted)

Mine's up at the factory for a week having a service and bits sorted. They are putting on the new alloy handbrake surround (£150), re-sealed the windows and roof, put in the new seat belt panels (FOC) and generally tinkered around and fettled my list of 31 items!

When I get it back (Thursday), I'm off to see Jools, who is going to cut out the cherry bomb type in-line silencers, and replace with plain SS pipes, to get a more bassy exhaust note at idle. Later, the rear box will be modified to let out the S6 howl. The T350 sounds better simply because they've reduced the wadding, and taken out some baffles, from the rear silencer, which is otherwise unchanged from the Tamora set-up.
