This year was the first time I noticed coach loads of Danes being bused around the circuit - especially after being held up in traffic at Arnage on Saturday evening.

Has there always been this many or have I been too pished in previous years to notice?

Think the beer goggles must have something to do with it.

The Danes have had a massive turnout at Le Mans since Tom Kristensen started winning for fun many years ago.

There was a coach full on our campsite, the bus they came in ran non stop from Wednesday to Sunday, and they drove out of the site. Where was the fuel coming from???

nice pile of black dust left on the grass though.

Still more brits than dane though I would imagine - be interesting to see the numbers of fans that came from each country.

Danes have been the second largest foreign nation at Le Mans (after us Brist of course) and normally seem to do the over-organised trips, camping in Carting Nord.

Easy to spot if you walk through - row upon row of perfectly aligned little tents. Ugghghg.

Danish involvement has only really picked up significantly over the last 2/3 years - how many famous Danes can you name?

We had a load opposite us in Beausejour.. Thorough nice chaps

We were amazed though cos the Danish flags seem to outnumber the Union Flags in the grandstands at the finish.

Scores of Danes in Camping Expo as well. They had over 200 tents set up on the Wednesday and another load arrived on Thursday Friday and Saturday. On Expo Dan Bla Avis have a big marquee for them, serve 3 meals a day, beer on tap, with disco, bands in the evening, and some seperate portable showers. Not sure how many coachlods of Danes there were but at least 6

Absolutely, but the coaches cause all sorts of grief going round the circuit.

Maybe they'll have the courage to drive next year

well, I think shipping 30 odd coachloads of danes up to arnage late on saturday evening was a succesfully co ordinated plan on their behalf to bring traffic to a standstill.

annoyed everyone else though

Had plenty of beers with Danes and great people they are too. The Danish
beer tent was open for business this year in Beausejour after being
prevented from selling beer to "outsiders" by the authorities last year.

Two guys next to us in Houx had driven down and when I asked how far they
had to go to get back they said 1400 km !! A fair effort.

was talking to one of the Danes up at the Porsche Curves, they had heard that there was some 25,000 odd Danes there this year !!! (Must only be the women left behind, so i will be going to Copenhagen next year ...)

Their operations were incredible to see though ... the one by Porsche Curves had a Marquee, a DFDS refrigerator container and HUGE barrels of beer on tap ....

There were a whole load of those crazy Danish guys at the parade, pretending to be English!!!

My mates half Danish and i did try to get them to sing "Johnny is w**ker" in Danish, but my battery went flat.

We where 30.000 - 40.000 Danes this year..I drove 3000km to get to Le mans and home again...

Is there any famus danish drivers....
well we had 9 Danes on the start grid, including Tom Kristensen (7 time winner, Jan Magnussen (3 times GT1 winner) and John Nielsen (1 x winenr for Jaguar)..

The remark about Danish guys trying to be "English" seem a bit odd...All the Danes i talked with down there, where actuallt quit happy to represent Denmark, and are proud that we have 30.000 people all acting like that have a IQ over 100....
