Fuel Additive, and nearest fuel stations

Hey All,

Had a question asked by someone who is coming to VMax - where is the nearest Optimax station?

Also, I'm toying with the idea of trying some fuel additive in order to see if it may add any benefit - is there such a thing, and is it worth it?

If you're approaching from the M1, there *is* a Fina station about 3 miles from the M1, then the Esso garage right opposite the turn for Bruntingthorpe.

I thought the Optimax garage only closed for renovation?

EDIT: Shown on the Shell website as still there?

Shell station just south of Wigston, 24hrs,6 mile north of Brunters.

We tried looking for that garage during the November freeze-your-nuts-off VMAX, and couldn't find it, so ended up with Texaco SUL instead...

I think I'll just top up with Esso or Fina Super on the way in, as we wasted a lot of time on the abortive Shell search last time.
