Hi Guys it's that time of year again. Who is good for insurance this time around. I'm female 31, NCD 5yrs, husband 31, driveway parking, drive approx 20,000 miles a year in the Maserati and live in Cornwall. Car is 3200GTM 51plate. Best I've had so far is RAC for £880 with legal, hire car, £350 ish excess and protected NCD.

Thank you

At 20k per year it sounds pretty reasonable, I am a fair bit older with similar year model and pay about the same ( home counties)

I'm 40, maximum NCB, 1999 3200, garaged, £750. But I do have a city centre postcode.

Sounds like a good deal.

Might be worth giving Adrian Flux or Chris Knott a call nevertheless, they always do their best to beat any (genuine) quote you give them.

Might be worth trying Stuart Eadon at First Point on 01604 499799 - they cover my 4200 so may be able to help you...

Tesco insurance is worth 10 minutes of your time.
We had a good quote from them.

A Plan found me cover for £689 with £350 excess with Group Armour. Should I go with them or I've got RAC down to £737 with £320 excess. Who do you think is best??

Go with a recommendation of somebody that has claimed through one .... Low premiums are one thing.... Getting a satisfactory claim is another

Yep, I want to know who will look after me if the worst should happen. I've heard lots of bad stories about insurance.

I was really surprised with the quote for the 3200GT £750 from A Flux. I have a herts address, max no claims, all the same details otherwise and was today "offered" a renewal of £960 by Flux!

Does anyone recommend other insurers please??

Mark, I pay £535 full comp through heritage as a modern classic(advertise in auto italia). I do limit to 3k per annum though (any unused can be carried over to the next year). It is also an agreed value, so no arguements should the worst happen. The good thing about them is that they quote the same with/without NCD. Which means your NCD can go against your work hack.
