the boot carpet over the petrol tank in my Tamora is quite wet. The car has been driven and stood :-(( in the recent rain, but it is not obvious why the carpet in the middle of the boot should be wet.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Thanks
Graham
I've had problems with a damp boot on many occasions on our Tamora and have never been able to bottom it. I suspect at least part of it may be condensation on the petrol tank as the rubber seal and drain holes seem fine........

I had this on my Tam.
Try: 1 - Leeking rear lights, need sealing around body
2 - Boot seal not sealing against boot lid, try buying a larger seal from Trim suppliers
3 - Rear badge / boot lock leaking, try putting some rubber around hole inside.

My Tuscan when new had severe leakage probs. After heavy rain got inches of water in boot. HHC discovered seals around petrol filler hadnt been finished off by factory. All sorted now. You would think Blackpool could sort this out. Also on first trip in rain the wipers almost blew off....hadnt been clicked into place. All basic stuff.
...its always been the basic stuff that lets the factory down. It was just as frustrating for us in service when customers came back with faults like this.
'seals around petrol filler hadnt been finished off by factory'
My car had that feature which was corrected at the 6K service some time ago. Symptom was occasional water in the left hand side of the boot.
