Fog light question - MOT soon!

Can anyone tell me if this is a problem, and if it is, what might be wrong... (My car has a 2k vintage loom)

Ok, when I switch the rear fog lights on, they work when the headlights are on dip, but they turn out when the headlights are on full beam.

That is correct.
We did this a while ago.
My understanding, and I've not been able to find any proof, is that in fog main beam lights would dazzle you so you can't use them. If you can use main beam then it is not foggy enough to warrant having rear fogs on.
