guys
looking at a black mk1 GT3 in the area and looks like a nice car, well looked after by former PCGB chairman as well as having a few JZM tweaks.
it has 55k on the clock. should I be worried? I know the 3.6 lump is bullett proof, well better than the 3.4 I currently have (though mine has been sweet - just all the others!) I don't do a huge amount of miles to be honest and this car has not seen too much track action either!
any other parts that are likely to be worn? gearbox? diff?
has had new clutch plates and release bearings about 10k ago at JZM.
the car is going into GT1 to have a 12k oil n filter service early july so I might get them to do a pre purchase check over on the car!!
thoughts and comments welcome.

Not too up on GT3's, but from a mechanical/reliablility point of view, the car should hold no suprises - so long as it's been well maintained.
From a buyers point of view, it is quite high miles for a GT3, and therefore needs to be priced accordingly. If you're planning it as a keeper, then it shouldn't be a problem, especially if you're planning on low mileage. If you think you'll have a change of heart in 6 months, it could prove problematic. All IMHO obviously

Mine currently in the mid 40k's mileage - most of it put on by me.
Rear shocks currently being replaced due to wear/tear and not enough 'cleaning' apparently .. Engine got an oil leak somewhere which is being 'investigated'.. + other bits and bobs.
Basically get them to do the check over...
