Word is driving me nuts.

Every time I hit I enter some text and then hit the enter button twice to make two paras, the text changes font, becomes bold and much bigger.

Is there some bloody setting gone wonky?

I type a word, hit enter twice and boom. Its all f-ed up.

Thanks guys... Its making this documents hellish work

You could probably get round it by increasing the space between paras, to avoid you having to press Enter twice.

Format > Paragraph > Spacing > After (change this from 0 to 12 pt if you're using a 12 pt font).

Does that help? If not, maybe you have Apply as you type > Headings enabled in Autocorrect > Autoformat As You Type?

Try selecting the offending text and change its 'style' to Normal using the drop down box next to the Font drop down on the Formatting menu bar.

If you've already tried that ignore me

I swiched off the auto formatting for headings. Worked. Genius!
