OK, so I know they're always late for various reasons, but why is it that buses have to drive at breakneck speed (for a bus) along their routes? I've followed them regularly doing well over 40 in a 30mph limit (i.e. they were going much faster than I was).

Better off changing the timetable like the airlines do to cater for the inevitable traffic/control delays.

Black cabs always seem to speed, especially late at night when the roads are clear. I assume they never get pulled, or else they would stop doing it, it's their livlihood after all guv

Oi, I have to travel on these brutes and they're slow enough as it is. Leave em alone.
Anyone that doesn't hear/feel a 10 ton bus coming their way shouldn't be left unsupervised in public

Buses: They all hurtle past my house at well over 30mph. It makes getting out of my drive very interesting indeed.

Taxis: Funny one this. The local cab firm seems to only drive at over double the speed limit. I recently asked this guy to slow down since it was a 30mph limit and he was travelling at 80mph down Preston high street. Total idiot started to argue with me while changing channel on his radio. My girlfriend and I told him to either stop the car or slow down, in either case I would be reporting him to the authorities as we had two witnesses.
