bargain of the century

Not sure if this is allowed, but just to inform anyone looking for a sagaris that the b.o.t.c. lies at mole valley tvr in red glow pearlesant, red/cream leather,2000mls approx, and is mint! Parting is such sweet sorrow....I still have the pictures on me wall.
43k - looks a normal price to me.
I can't believe you can get a Saggy for 37,995 from a dealer - that could be a bargain (needs new carpets/tidying up though, by the look of it).

It's a long story, believe me. It had a lot to do with work offshore/abroad, my wifes love for anything with four legs ( ever tried taking a sagaris to a horse show? ),and also the fact that the car was actually hers and she had absolutely no time to drive the thing. We also have other vehicles which "fit in" with our lifestyle and time a lot better, hence the low mileage on the sagaris. I'm not saying she should'nt have bought it, she had a Tuscan before and loved it, but unfortunately it had to go. It's difficult to put miles on a car when you're only home 1wk in 4 and then going to shows in the horse box, we could afford it and the depreciation, and she will no doubt get another t.v.r. in the future. I used to wonder myself how people could possibly sell/lose money on what is virtually a brand new car, but as this is a tvr forum I'm allowed to say " you only live once ". I hope that answers the question. Go see the car...before I buy the damn thing back !
And another thing Deejay, just checked the web site and this car is up for £41950,not £43 as you stated. With it's history ( impeccable ) would you agree it starting to look good ? Anyway, just thought others might like to know of its existence in case they want a good 'un. If not, go elsewhere and take pot luck. It's my car no more so I'm not too bothered....good home and all that B0I 110x. Adios, as they say.

Hi Deejay. Just looked at the classified ads and found the following ; 05 with 2685mls for £46000, 05 with 2800mls for £46500, 05 with 2600mls for £45000, 05 with 1500mls for £47770.........higher mileages are cheaper obviously. Sorry, just making a point !
I looked at it, but couldn't remember if it was 42,950 or 41....
It's certainly not a lot of money for such a great car, but for <38k I think I'd cope with the extra few thousand miles and spend 1k getting it back to immaculate condition with a frontend respray and new carpets.
Unfortunately, horses have taken over my life too (see my other post on the Land Rover forum!) so I won't be buying one for a while!

Personally I'd rather buy a car at 6000+ miles that has been carefully run in. Trouble is I guess is how would you ever know? If I was selling my car at 2000 miles there's no way I'd be able to resist a thrapp or two before handing it over, especially considering the depreciation. Who could?
The classic ferrari scam is to get early on the order books, nail the car from brand new and sell it on with 2k miles for a slight premium while you wait for your new one.
I even saw an Enzo lapping Spa with no number plates. Whats the betting that it isn't even registered and will be sold on for 'delivery mileage'! People who love their cars tend to use them I find.

O.K., I know you'll only have my word for it ( and also reading past posts ) but I can honestly say that the car was treated with the proverbial kid gloves and total mechanical sympathy. We discussed long and hard on this forum about warm up/oil temps/starting from cold/leaving car to idle etc. It was the one thing that we were meticulous with, although as somebody else mentioned on here before, I'm not sure what the garage/dealer does on his road test following a service, but that goes for all vehicles! Suffice to say, the car had it's 1000ml service at 996mls and its 1yr service within two days of the twelve months. It never went out in the wet ( my wife was a bit "nervous" of the 380hp meeting a load of wet cow SHI 1T ) and we decided to let go at the start, or during, the summer.Anyway, I take your point and that its impossible to tell exactly how a car has been treated. I suppose that's why we bought new. At least me and the cars new owner, whoever that may be, will know the truth! Adios again, as this is now starting to turn into a sales pitch....and the cars sold!
Sorry Pits, just read your post again. Although you state that you would rather buy at 6000mls with the car " properly run in ", how the hell do you ensure that it has been? It's impossible, surley no one will admit to ragging a tvr and not complying with the running in procedure. I believe the only way is on "gut instinct", christ, I even had the "oil temp vs revs" written down in my wallet in case I forgot! ( revs from cold, revs when warm, don't labour engine, revs at 30/40/50/60/80 oil temp...). God, no wonder we sold it, we could'nt keep up with maths! Thanks for the replies anyway.
Just checked mole v. web site and it does appear that the beast is " under offer ", although I would have to believe it's very close to the asking price considering condition. I can now come clean (!) and state that both my wife and I absolutely............looked after the car as previously stated! I also forgot to mention that the new owner will still find the change up lights set at 4000/4500 and 5000 revs, so remember to alter them before giving it full beans. Once again, thanks for the replies as I still love talking about this car even though she's gone. If someone on here has bought it, please give us a shout to let me know what you think. I also have some stuff that you might like, covers, leads, spare seat cushions in perf. leather ( you can't get it any more, apparently ).
