I tell ya what, just mailed my Lord of The West, b1tching with no small venom o'er the injustices of this infernal, meddlesome, automotive proctology that engulfs this glorious event.

Playing around with one of those db meters and the little fecker was all over the show, so dependant on the slightest vaguery of horizontal or lateral angle and indeed, slight of hand: I think the beetle'll scrape through but honestly, what a mound of steaming dung!

Having said that, I must express my gratitude to Craig (and the Waffen Brunterskellerfreigelhornbrau also) for managing to cobble something together, despite the confounded efforts of the left.

I just hope the authorities will grant the naughty hell fire noise brigade all due clemency when clocked autobahning au m-way, as they are inevitably forced off track and on road.

Commie bastards, you have been warned. Now F.O.A.D.

DeR.

The little buggers are very sensitive to the vagaries of prevailing conditions, and I'm not overly convinced that the tester is particularly skilled or consistant. Perhaps a little cheeky subderfuge to ensure sensibility prevails?

Either way I have a hankering to experience the (uber)beetle in flight at some point, so I hope you're receptive to an approach at some point during Sunday's shenanigans.

The reading will also vary depending upon environmental conditions: temperature, humidity and the presence of any surrounding sound-reflecting objects.

Hopefully Daz will bring his so that we will at least be able to get a second opinion should the official one be a little over zealous.

DeR,,,,try to park up on the grass and depress the clutch for the noise test...mentioning you have a lower rev limit...when they check for 2/3 of rev range.....these little things can help air cooled Beetle to "appear" quieter Good luck!

Not forgetting of course that the good people of Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground are members of PH and do indeed read these forums.
