I went last year. What a show. Still, I had never seen the F1 cars before, so it was amazing to see and hear them live.

Folks, if you can figure out a way to get to an F1 GP race, do it. It's a real party that starts a mile from the track in all directions and the cars are incredible. Here's a quick recount of the brief, but memorable, trip.

Brad, get hold of Ed Ingalls. Maybe he has Bill Cassetty's contact information. Bill can hook you up with parking. (see the link above) The track holds about 140k people. I think there were about 80k there last year, so parking is nutz!

Also, a few tips if you haven't been to Indy (bet you have, though):
Take a back-pack for your camera, binoculars and a poncho for rain, if forecast.
Take a bunch of water into the stands. It's hot in the sun with those aluminum seats.
Take (rent) the stadium seat cushions. Again, the seats are hot metal in the sun.
Plan to stay Monday. Buy your GP ticket for next year while at the track and they will let you drive your car around "The Brickyard" on Monday.
