Electric windows problem

Hi all.

Discovered today that my drivers side electric window motor has given up the ghost
The passenger one is fine - still works at least !!

All the electrics & wires seem fine as they have been checked with multimeter - power is getting to it but the motor just clicks when the up/down switch is pressed.

The motor unit is sealed and I cant get into it without breaking it further to see what the prob is.

Has anyone any ideas what motor & mechinism would fit a 1984 Tasmin 280i ?? or what donor car they came from ??
any ideas ?

If same as 350i then Rover SD1, buy the rear door one if possible as it will have been used less often. There are some slight differences with years of car, an 1980's SD1 should be the same?

I had a problem with mine for a while but I just used to bang on the inside of the door while tweaking the switch, it would then fire up. Seems quite reliable now.
