Boot size vs a Chim
Discussion
Hi,
I've had a Chim 450 for a while now, and I'm looking at a new-ish Tuscan convertible.
As it's my only car, it needs to get a bike in the boot. I can manage this in the Chim with some bags packed around it no worries - fantastic!
Does anyone know if the Tuscan boot is as big (or bigger / smaller) than a Chim boot?
Obviously I'll go and take a look, but just getting some opinions first.
Cheers

I can get my full suspension specialized bike in the boot of my tuscan with the rear window and all my gear without any problems. Not tried it with the roof to but I'm sure with the right organising it could be done. Not seen the boot on a chim but I am always amazed as to what I can get in mine with the roof off ie four sets of golf sticks

That sounds promising; maybe my Santa Cruz Blur will fit in then! I might take you up on your offer if I'm unable to play around with a car in a dealers. Thanks.

I can fit my "large" Santa Cruz Blur in the boot of my mk1 Tuscan. I have to take the wheels off, remove the seatpost and unbolt the stem, but it takes less than 5 minutes. I can't fit the roof in there as well, but there's loads of room left for squashy bags.

Just returned from road trip with my son to World Cup match at Englands poor performance on Saturday against Portugal. The Tuscan was perfectfor trip-- tent , two sleeping bags, inflatable mattress, holdalls, fold up chairs plus more all fitted in boot. Was also possible to put roof and rear window for part of journey, (I felt air con was best with roof on as temp was very high). It was first long trip in car and so was slightly anxious about breaking down etc., but car was fast and fantastic. No overheating, instrument pod didnt fail, plus as usual, TVR turned many heads with people in cars in the many queues taking pics with mobile phones. A trip to remember if not for the England result.
