World Record???

Got double flashed by a speed camera today doing approx 62 in a 50 in my t350c...gotta be a first for this car.
Anyway it happened like this, motorway 70 mph (never went above 75 all day due to careful running in),was dark, come up behind a lorry doing 60 eased past it,mate says theres a 50 mph sign there for roadworks,started to slow down and FLASH FLASH.
Neither of us saw any signs before the lorry so unless by overtaking the lorry it blocked the signs out i dunno but either way i just felt it was plain UNLUCKY.

Still maybe nothing will come of it but i thought the double flash was a sure sign???
Anyone know for sure?

They all double flash anyway I think. The only way you could be lucky is if the camera had run out of film. Which on a motorway is pretty likely I'd imagine (as alot of people go over 50 in roadworks sections!)

Alot of the Gatso cameras are just the radar and flasher unit too, as the camera part costs alot of cash, so they are used as a deterant.

Just have to wait and see what arrives in the post though I'm afraid 62 in a 50 though would only be 3 points and £30 fine anyway I think.

Not strictly true.

Most will flash twice whether they have a camera in or not.
You just have to wait for 14 days, and if no NIP turns up in that time, then you're home free.

In the meantime you may like to look at the ABD website for advice.
