New Shocks and Insurance Companies
Discussion
Hi,
I've come to the conclusion that the rear shocks on my T350 are well and truly toast. I'm looking to improve on standard as was thinking something along the line of Protechs, Nitrons or Ohlins.
However will this have to be reported to the insurance company if I do go with one of them?
Thanks in advance

It is best to inform the insurance company of any mods to the Tiv. When I changed my 16" spider alloys to 18" spider alloys I informed the insurance company and it cost me an extra £38 to add the alloys to the policy. It is safer to inform them because in the event of a claim, insurance companies will try and use any excuse not to pay up.
Rob - defo to be mentioned to the insurers. When I spoke to app 14-15 insurers about renewing my Tuscan insurance, well over 3/4 of them would not insure me with Nitrons, even after explaining fully. Eventually (realistically) came down to A Plan, A Manning, Competition Car Insurance and Tesco if memory serves.
