I'd really value your advice...

i have an opportunity at work to run a session for the CEO and 50 senior brokers of a large investment bank in New York.

It will be the first time i've worked with such a senior group and i have only an hour to get a lot across (i work in management consultancy; mostly employee engagement/ customer engagement work).

Any advice you have about working with a group of senior bankers like this is gratefully received!

As a recruitment consultant I get to meet most of the senior department heads, Global heads etc.
Points to remember are. Remember they are human. Don't be daunted by how much they earn, what their titles are or how many people they are in charge of.
Learn a little (just the very basics) of what each of their departments do (investorwords.com will help)so as not to be thrown by comments of "how will this affect our department"
They don't like to be bored, humiliated or treated like idiots. They will have done their own homework to a certain extent on what you are going to talk about and know way, way more about what they do than you ever will . So keep it professional and talk about what you know about yoursubject not theirs.

This being said, no matter how senior they are you are delivering to them something they do not have so be confident in this and talk to them as equals while remaining aware that they are clients and do not waste their time.

i.e. no-one likes to be told what to do by someone who acts as an inferior and takes long time to do it.

These guys have done all the in-fighting they'll ever need to and don't need to prove anything so you should be fine and fairly relaxed. Good luck

a bit of a grandma/eggs things that but its no different presenting to senior bankers than Government types I would have thought, may be easier in some ways.
