You can find my photos from Fridays practice/test sessions here.

Extreme looking cars and very loud (in a good way of course!). Looks like a great weekend. I am sure those of you that are going will enjoy it!

Ray.

I'm trying to work out where you were stood... guessing Druids infield and South Bank.

Nice photos!

I only shot from two places as it was too bloody hot to keep moving around. Firstly from the area over the footbridge inside druids shooting the entrance/exit/corner of Druids and also looking down to the exit of Paddock Hill Bend. Secondly from the outside of Paddock Hill Bend. Glad you enjoyed photos.

Excellent (outstanding, actually) photos - so generous of the drivers to park in front of you so you could get such pin sharp pics! You should sign that one of Mika and send it to him!

Thanks for posting those beatiful pics. I had intended to be there but other chores prevented that - had I taken my camera, and then seen what you produced from the same positions I usually go to, I would have stopped taking snaps completely. The quality is super - brightly coloured cars on a sunny day are a good start but getting the quality you're achieving generally means deep pockets, good exposure planning and some digital skills. Looks like you have them all!

Thank you very much for your positive comments . My head has now grown so large my neck can barely support it ! To be honest I didn't really need deep pockets because my camera and lens cost a total of £600. I Also I only bought my first DSLR 2 months ago but I am learning fast by trawling the internet for hints and tips. I only attended the first test session on Friday morning, had I been there for Friday afternoon and the weekend I would have experimented with some different shooting positions.

Great photos chaps, if you don't mind another hijack here are some of mine. Not sure what anyone else thought of the day (I went on Sunday) but I was pretty disappointed, usually racing at brands hatch is fast and furious with lots of action all day, I have to admit I got a little bored and left half way through the afternoon, there was just too much waiting around. The DTM race was ok, and I'm sure the later races were good as well, but the gap between the DTM race and the other races just seemed to drag on, and much as I like to see Damon Hill in a car, him doing slooow 'fast' laps for coporate guests was not for me. Anyway managed to get a few pics:
