Along with the 500 tits & finches, this big bugger of a woodpecker turned up today.

Pic taken automatically with Zigview R motion sensor using 400mm lens (from about 10 metres away - high speed crop on)

Stop posting these, I'm sooo tempted to upgrade my Zigview to an R!

Oh, and cool pic

Go on - you know you want to!

Whilst I'm here... (not a zigview) ... but I liked it.

What a handsome pecker.

What's the significance of "high speed crop" mode?

High speed crop = reduces size of field of view (and file size) by about 50% (cuts out the edges) but the good news, it means about 8 fps on the D2x (and 700+ frames on a 4 gig card at JPG fine)... and, it's useful as the zigview motion sensor takes loads of empty frames (as the birds fly away and you just get loads of pics of nuts - if you see what I mean)
