My 87 350i has allways had a heavy clutch, bit of a pain in traffic. Is this common, or am i a wuss, if im not any ideas. Had new slave cylinder fitted 2 yrs ago, system has been bled and pedal box etc is ok

Errr... they all do that, sir!
Maybe some previous owner has fitted the wrong master cylinder? It should have 64676310 cast into the side...

You could experiment with a smaller bore master cylinder as this reduce the pedal effort but you'd have to push the pedal further.

My daily drive used to be an Alfa 164 and that clutch used to pump my leg up badly in traffic jams. The SEAC clutch used to feel too light; wondered how it managed the power.

However, I'm now driving a 205 Diesel and now I'm used to it, it makes the SEAC clutch feel really heavy.

So I guess - it all depends....

Original SEAC clutches were very heavy, later replacement units such as AP rated at 350 lb ft are much lighter !
