If the lower W/Bs are bad, check out the uppers (they suffer worse) Loads of threads about this, just search. Not a show-stopper by any means and quite DIYable for a reasonable home mech

Outriggers need frequent TLC and, worse case, can be replaced by them that can... again, search is your friend

IIRC Wishbones are around £50 a pair and being near the wheels they do take quite a hammering. If you have the time and some axel stands rubbing down the chassis, painting it yourself then putting the rust proofer on is the best way of doing it, that way you know the job has been done properly. For the whisbones the same applies, scrape them down, coat liberally in POR 15 then if you can use some anti chip suff on it (kind of a rubbery paint) then cover in unseal followed by waxoyl, this way you have multi layerd protection. Ideally you want to do this to the whole chassis. My reccomendation is POR 15 followed by anti chip on the Wishbones and tubes under the wheel arch. Then Tectyl WD 504 on the rest of the tubes and underseal over that. Make sure you get as much of the Tecty/Waxoyl/Underseal on top of the tubes as you can. Also regularly scrape out stones and debris from the outriggers and the body.
