Hey people, I post from time to time over in the Elise section but keep my eye on this forum as I one day in the not too distance future hope to buy an F355! So here's my first post!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl

From what I've gathered a 2nd hand engine could be had for about 13k, any thoughts on the above link?

Ross

I'd expect you could get a good bare 355 engine for nearer £6k to £7k. The Car is not UK registered and looking at the rear number plate slot and centre brake light I'd guess it could be a US car but then it doesn't have side running lights? may well need to get through ESVA to get it registered

Pay a little extra, buy a clean Rosso Crema car and it will pay dividends during ownership and resale

Cheers for the replies guys! That one looks very well priced! I think that blue one is a Kuwaiti import and is a little scruffy, it's come up on ebay a few times.

Not really viable for me at the moment but doesn't hurt to start researching early!

Interesting about a working engine being around 6 - 7k though!

edit: Just noticed this "This car has been subject to a minor body repair in 2003/4 and was repaired by Panel Craft Elite(Ferrari Specialists) for the company's owner, who kept the car until the end of 2005." hint that it's a cat D/C?

I would not touch and repaired Ferrari. At this level of car ownership it's just not worth it. I have seen some cracking 355's for sale on pistonheads. I am a big 355 fan myself and always dreamed of owning one. But I am already married. It would cause
