Good Morning,
any suggestions to upgrade the dipped headlight unit? Was struggling to see very clearly last night, its only on dip, mains are good.

I have a Factory built GTR, that was produced in 2000, and I have the same problem. The Factory have addressed this by releasing a new light cluster. Apparantly you need to change your glass and the pod mount as well. I'm not sure if it will fit a sport.

Changing the whole pod and cover would be a little drastic if it is just the dip that is the problem.
Does it use both a dip & hi in the same module?
If not then there must be a number of aftermarket modules that would do the job just a matter of finding one the right size. So what size is it?

the dip and the main are on separate units. The Dip is a 4" item which has a small side light built in, on closer inspection maybe even upgrading the bulb could give an improvement? Would like to change this unit as opposed to upgrade the whole front light assembly

thanks Steve, job done, bought and dropped in some upgraded bulbs and garage test looks good, had too many sherries this evening to test out but looks like there is a real simple solution out there....cheers, Mark....
by the way have you found anyone near you that tunes v8's, I have drawn a blank on some expertise in the area for SBC with carbs, although will be trying out a mobile tuner tomorrow? Regards

Does your new bulbs draw more current? Is the wiring rated for more?

Off the topic, how do you find the cornering of the Ult compared with you 4wd Scoob, i.e how fast can you do a roundabout in each? (My bet's on the Scoob...)

well Peter, actually dont know what extra pull I am getting on the lights, hope is that with over design wiring should cope (fingers crossed here and no doubt could be told different)....as for zipping round roundabouts as it happens lighting plays a significant factor as I had to take some evasive roundabout action on Saturday night in the Ultima as I realised I was about to hit a curb full on as I "misjudged" my exit, whereas at least I can see where I am going in the scoob, Mark
